GCN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

APPLICABILITY: The provisions set out and referred to in this Goods Consignment Note (GCN) shall apply to all inland transportation including Surface/Rail/Air as performed by Mahadev Logistics and its agents.

1. Transportation Rights

Mahadev Logistics is entitled to use any mode, route, or third party for transportation as deemed efficient for the safe delivery of goods.

2. Contractual Agreement

The GCN constitutes a binding contract between Mahadev Logistics and the Customer (Consignor/Consignee).

3. Declarations
  • The GCN is issued based on declarations provided by the Customer. Mahadev Logistics is not responsible for wrongful declarations.
  • Customers declare that consignments do not contain hazardous, inflammable, or prohibited articles as per current statutes.
  • Differential charges will be collected if discrepancies are found in weight or contracted rates.
4. Documentation

Complete documentation, including accurate names, addresses, tax invoices, and permits (e-way bills), is mandatory. Mahadev Logistics is not liable for deficiencies in customer documentation.

5. Delivery
  • The first delivery attempt is considered as deemed delivery.
  • Delivery assurances do not apply in cases of force majeure, including accidents, natural disasters, strikes, or political disturbances.
  • Claims for damage or pilferage will not be entertained after the delivery has been accepted outwardly intact.
6. Statutory Payments

The Customer is solely responsible for all government levies, including Octroi, Entry Tax, GST, or other statutory duties.

7. Limitation of Liability

Liability for loss or damage is strictly limited to the actual value of the consignment or a maximum of Rs. 1,000, whichever is lower, unless valuation charges (Insurance) are paid in advance.

8. Force Majeure

Mahadev Logistics shall not be liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by acts of God, public enemies, government officials, strikes, riots, or any cause beyond reasonable control.

9. Payments & Refunds

Invoices must be cleared within the due date. Delays may attract interest charges. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

10. Lien

Mahadev Logistics reserves the right to a general lien over all consignments for any dues payable by the Customer.
